As someone who grew up as an extremely intuitive child and not having anyone to talk to about it, I became very scared and spent a lot of my youth trying very hard to shut off this ability I naturally had. In adulthood, I became more aware of not only how natural and “normal” this strong intuition had been, but how helpful and powerful it could be for me.

I began seeing ways to validate and support children in that same position everywhere I found myself, including my career as a Waldorf Kindergarten teacher working with young children and their families.

I later found myself raising a very bright and intuitive child of my own, and proceeded to go through training to be able to more specifically address concerns parents and children have. This includes helping parents to navigate their young children seeing and hearing things that they may not be hearing and seeing themselves. It also includes adolescents and teens who are finding themselves facing intrusive thoughts and energies and worrying about whether what’s happening is normal, or being afraid and powerless.

So often, there’s really nowhere to turn with these questions, and it is so important to ask them and get reassurance. Let’s empower our children and help them feel safe and in control of their abilities!
